New mexico child support arrears?

had to take a paternity test when the child was 11 years old....test was positive.....i had to pay 24,000 in back child support ....and thats just to start.....10 years later with interest i am now in arrears almost 50,000....Child support was set at 250.00 per month with only 58.00 going towards arrears....shouldnt i have had to pay starting after the paternity test....and not for the previous 11 years b4?...this has been a nightmare...anyone???
