Notice of seeking possession? HELP?

I work as a housing officer. As you are currently living in a Housing Association property, you should do everything in order to maintain this tenancy. It's a possibility that your Housing Benefit letter could've got lost in the post, but we always tell our clients that it is the tenants' responsibility to make sure they find out what their Housing Benefit entitlement is. Housing Associations normally set up HB to get paid directly to them, but you should always make sure how much they are being paid and if you notice a shortfall you will have to make up the difference. It's possible that if you can't afford the 20 per week towards repayments, they will reduce this. If you are struggling financially anyway, you should perhaps seek help from CAB Money Advice. You sound very worried about losing your tenancy, and I'm sure you will seek the appropriate advice in order to remain there. For the most part HA tenancies will at least give you chances and advise you of any problems rather than just evicting you.
