Can I rent a property with defaults on my credit history?

I currently live with my partner in a flat which he owns. We are going to rent the flat out as I am pregnant and we really need more space. We are looking to rent a house together however I have 3 defaults on my credit history from 4 years ago - know theyl be there for 6 years - however I have no CCJ's or rent arrears. Will this be a problem when it comes to applying for a rental property?
