Current Employer's Failing Financial Status?
I just started a position two months ago at a for-profit vocational school. The pay is sufficient for me, but I get no benefits during the first three months of employment. (I even pay my own taxes.) I'm learning a lot and enjoy the actual work itself, but the company itself leaves a lot to be desired. Suffice it to say, it has become apparent to me that my current employer is either having financial difficulties or just simply does not want to pay its bills. I am unable to get needed equipment and supplies because many of the accounts for such goods are in arrears and have been sent to collection agencies. The people in the finance department (who pay the bills) simply tell me to find a new vendor, supplier or service company. I'm starting to look for work elsewhere. How would I TACTFULLY explain to a prospective employer that I wanted to leave my current gig because I was concerned that my current employer was either financially unstable or flat-out unethical?
